About Us
Happy Belly Fibre began out of a need for better access to low FODMAP products for those with IBS. Despite making up a significant proportion of the population, low FODMAP products are still not readily available.
With the severity of symptoms that can be experienced and limited options on the market, Happy Belly Fibre is firmly committed to improving gastrointestinal health and quality of life for people living with IBS.
While the low FODMAP diet has been shown to be very useful in controlling symptoms, it is not a permanent solution. Long term adherence to the diet has been shown to affect the gut microbiome by reducing bacterial diversity, leaving IBS sufferers stuck between a rock and a hard place! Happy Belly Fibre is passionate about providing simple yet effective strategies to nourish the microbiome, whether you're a long term FODMAP-er or just looking for a fibre boost in your diet.
Meet the owner
Happy Belly Fibre was founded by Evangeline Mouratidis, Accredited Practising Dietitian and Accredited Sports Dietitian. For years in clinical practice, Evangeline witnessed the benefits of Partially Hydrolysed Guar Gum in reducing irritable bowel symptoms - often with minimal dietary restrictions.
Evangeline completed a Master of Dietetic Practice and Bachelor of Health Sciences (La Trobe University), and went on to complete courses in the ‘Low FODMAP Diet for IBS’ (Monash University), functional medicine (The Institute for Functional Medicine), and sports nutrition (Sports Dietitians Australia).
When she’s not working on Happy Belly Fibre, you can find Evangeline playing with food at Happy Belly Grazing, developing low FODMAP and gluten-friendly grazing boxes and tables.
